Paris, France, 17 June 2025 – Vietjet, Vietnam's largest private airline, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus for the purchase of 100 A321neo aircraft, with an option for an additional 50 in the future. The MoU was signed at the Paris Air Show by Vietjet CEO Dinh Viet Phuong and Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, EVP Sales for Airbus Commercial Aircraft. "This agreement is a major milestone in our partnership with Airbus," said Vietjet Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao. "The A321neo has played a key role in Vietjet's growth, enabling us to offer more affordable, accessible air travel while supporting economic development, cultural exchange, and global connectivity. This deal reinforces our commitment to becoming a leading multi-national aviation group."
"This latest MoU follows Vietjet's recent order for A330neo widebodies," added de Saint-Exupéry. "The combination of A321neo and A330neo aircraft will give Vietjet the flexibility to match capacity with demand while benefiting from the technical commonality of Airbus' latest-generation fleet."

It also features the widest single-aisle cabin for enhanced passenger comfort. As of May 2025, more than 7,000 A321neo aircraft have been ordered by over 90 customers worldwide.
