Royal Air Maroc (RAM) launched a new direct flight from London Stansted to Casablanca on June 24, 2025, operating three times weekly (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays) on a Boeing 737-800. This marks RAM's first service from Stansted, boosting UK-Morocco connectivity. On June 28, 2025, RAM introduced a direct flight from Catania, Italy, to Casablanca, running Mondays and Saturdays, expanding its Italian network to seven cities as part of its growth strategy.
RAM's fleet modernization includes a new Boeing 737 MAX, recently spotted post-assembly in Seattle, valued for its efficiency and range to support route expansion. The airline is close to finalizing a major deal with Boeing for dozens of jets, including 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliners, alongside a smaller order of 20 Airbus A220s for regional routes, aiming to refresh its largely Boeing-based fleet.
For summer 2025, RAM announced a record-breaking schedule, offering over 6.6 million seats across 95 destinations, up 700,000 seats from the previous year. New routes include night flights to European cities like Brussels, Paris, Milan, Bologna, and London Stansted, and daytime services to African hubs such as Dakar, Abidjan, Bamako, Lagos, and Conakry.
However, RAM's ranking in the 2025 Skytrax global airline rankings dropped to 70th from 55th in 2024, based on passenger satisfaction surveys. It ranks sixth among African carriers, behind Ethiopian Airlines, Air Mauritius, RwandAir, South African Airways, and EgyptAir, possibly due to increased competition or challenges in meeting customer expectations.
