Qatar Airways and Kenya Airways have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a strategic partnership that includes a comprehensive codeshare agreement and expanded flight services between Kenya and Doha. The agreement was signed in Doha by Qatar Airways CEO Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer and Kenya Airways CEO Allan Kilavuka.
Qatar Airways will introduce a third daily Doha–Nairobi flight, code-shared with Kenya Airways. Kenya Airways will launch new Mombasa–Doha flights during the upcoming winter season, marketed by Qatar Airways. Both carriers will code-share across their global networks, offering more seamless connections for travellers. Beyond passenger services, the partnership aims to explore cooperation in cargo, airport and ground services, loyalty programs, procurement, and aircraft maintenance.
The deal strengthens Qatar Airways' position in Africa—where it serves 30 cities—and supports Kenya Airways' turnaround strategy after its recent return to profitability. It also underscores both airlines' commitment to enhancing regional tourism and trade. Kenya Airways was recently named Africa's Leading Airline and Business Class (2025) by the World Travel Awards, while Qatar Airways remains the World's Best Airline according to Skytrax 2025.
