IndiGo launches Non-Stop Mumbai and Manchester Flight

IndiGo has launched its first long-haul service, introducing direct flights between Mumbai and Manchester, becoming the only airline to offer nonstop connectivity between these cities. The route operates three times weekly (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays) using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, damp-leased from Norse Atlantic Airways, signaling IndiGo's ambition to become a global carrier.

The aircraft features 56 IndiGoStretch seats and 282 Economy seats, all equipped with personal entertainment screens providing approximately 300 hours of content. Passengers will receive complimentary hot meals and beverages, showcasing Indian cuisine and brands. 

CEO Pieter Elbers described the launch as "a milestone in IndiGo's internationalisation strategy," strengthening economic, cultural, and educational ties between India and the UK. The service enhances IndiGo's growing international presence, following its accolade as 'Best Airline in India and South Asia' at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards.This strategic expansion positions IndiGo as a key player in connecting India to global destinations, offering passengers a seamless and enhanced travel experience on this new long-haul route.
