In 2025, Iberia has strengthened its leadership in air travel between Latin America and Europe, boosting seat capacity by 5% to over 5.5 million, surpassing the 5.3 million offered in 2024. This growth enables the airline to operate over 350 weekly flights, up from 330 in 2024, marking a historic milestone as Iberia nears its 80th anniversary of transatlantic service.
Iberia's commitment to Latin America is evident in expanded capacity in key markets. Peru now enjoys two daily flights, Chile has 12 weekly frequencies, Puerto Rico offers up to 11 weekly flights, and the Dominican Republic will have two daily flights by year-end. Other routes, including three daily flights to Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Mexico City, and Bogotá, and daily services to Montevideo, Quito, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Costa Rica, reflect sustained growth. Rio de Janeiro and Caracas operate five weekly flights, while Panama City, Havana, and Guayaquil have three.
Additionally, Iberia will launch a new route to Recife, Brazil, with three weekly flights starting December 13. The airline's Hola Madrid stopover program continues to attract Latin American travelers, offering up to nine nights in Madrid at no extra cost, with discounts on accommodations, leisure, transport, and dining. "This record reinforces our leadership and commitment to connecting Latin America and Europe," said Marina Colunga, Iberia's Commercial Director for Latin America, emphasizing the airline's role as the preferred choice for this corridor.
