Gulf Air orders 12 Boeing 787 Dreamliners

Gulf Air, Bahrain's national airline, has entered into an agreement with Boeing to acquire 12 787 Dreamliners, with options for six more. Once finalized, this deal will boost Gulf Air's firm orders to 14 of these fuel-efficient widebody aircraft.
The announcement took place in Washington, D.C., attended by Bahrain's Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, Boeing Commercial Airplanes CEO Stephanie Pope, and Gulf Air Group Chairman Khalid Taqi."This deal is a pivotal moment for Gulf Air's growth strategy," said Taqi.
"The 787 Dreamliner's performance and sustainability make it ideal for our long-haul routes."The new aircraft will enable Gulf Air to expand its international network while maintaining an all-787 widebody fleet.
