China Eastern Airlines will launch three new European routes this summer, connecting Shanghai with Geneva, Milan, and Copenhagen, enhancing ties with the UK, Germany, and France. Starting June 16, 2025, the Shanghai-Geneva route, a first for a Chinese airline, will operate four weekly flights using eco-friendly Airbus A350 and A330 aircraft, facilitating travel between Shanghai's commercial hub and Geneva's diplomatic center. Direct flights to Milan begin June 20, offering access to Italy's fashion and business capital, while the Copenhagen route, starting July 17, opens Scandinavia's innovative markets and landscapes. These routes raise China Eastern's European destinations to 15, reinforcing its global aviation role as a SkyTeam member. The expansion is expected to boost economic and cultural exchanges by simplifying travel for business and tourism, fostering trade, investment, and intercultural understanding. Using modern, sustainable aircraft, the airline aligns with environmental goals while meeting rising travel demand. This move underscores China Eastern's ambition to strengthen its European presence and enhance global connectivity, creating new opportunities for travelers and businesses in a rapidly globalizing world.
