On Sunday, a Canaryfly ATR 72 encountered a technical issue at Gran Canaria Airport, leading to the collapse of its front landing gear while stationed at the parking platform, with passengers already on board.

The incident took place around 2:00 PM as the plane prepared to taxi to the runway. The airline reported that a specific malfunction caused the aircraft's nose to touch the ground. Emergency procedures were promptly enacted, with coordination between airport services and authorities.

All passengers were safely evacuated without injuries and rebooked on alternative flights. The airline confirmed no harm to passengers or crew and expressed regret for the inconvenience and minor delays to other operations. Canaryfly has initiated a detailed internal investigation, working with aviation authorities to identify the cause of the malfunction.

The airline stressed that the incident was isolated and handled in accordance with strict safety protocols to protect everyone involved. This swift response ensured no further complications arose, and the airline remains committed to maintaining the highest safety standards while addressing the issue to prevent future occurrences.
