On July 10, 2025, Air Arabia, a prominent low-cost carrier in the MENA region, celebrated the relaunch of its non-stop service connecting Sharjah and Damascus. The inaugural flight departed from Sharjah International Airport with a ceremony attended by Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, and Ziad Yahya Zaher Edin, Chargé d'Affaires of the Syrian Consulate General in the UAE.
Upon landing at Damascus International Airport, the flight was greeted with a special event, attended by Hasan Ahmed Mohammed Sulaiman Alshehhi, UAE Ambassador to Syria, alongside senior airport officials and other dignitaries. This route resumption underscores Air Arabia's dedication to enhancing regional connectivity while offering affordable and convenient travel options.
The service operates with two daily non-stop flights, providing passengers with greater flexibility and seamless travel between the UAE and Syria.
