Aeroméxico began operations at Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) with a direct flight from Mexico City, marking its 100th destination. The new daily service integrates into the airline's international network, strengthening air connectivity between Mexico and the Dominican Republic.The inaugural ceremony included aviation and tourism authorities from both countries, who emphasized the route's significance in expanding flight options and promoting bilateral tourism.
The route is operated with Boeing 737 aircraft, featuring Premier, AM Plus, and Economy classes, along with amenities like Wi-Fi, individual screens, and Sky Interior lighting. With an estimated capacity of 10,000 monthly seats, this route complements existing flights to Santo Domingo.Punta Cana Airport, handling over 60% of the Dominican Republic's air traffic, is notable for its private management, modern infrastructure, and extensive international connectivity, receiving flights from over 70 cities worldwide.
